CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2025–26

SUNBEAM SCHOOL, MAU NOTICE Date: 06 January 2026 Subject: CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2025–26 All students of Classes V to X are hereby informed that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is organising the CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2025–26 under its Reading Mission. The programme aims to promote creative writing and storytelling skills by providing students an opportunity to write original short stories, with selected entries getting a chance to be e-published by CBSE. Programme Details: Eligibility: Students of Classes V to X Language: Hindi or English (only one language per student) Word Limit: Classes V–VI: 500–600 words Classes VII–VIII: 600–900 words Classes IX–X: 1000–1500 words Theme: Open theme – all genres and writing styles are permitted School Level Round – I Date: 20 January 2026 There is no participation fee for this programme. Interested students should submit their original and unpublished short story to their respective English/Hindi teacher on or before the announced date. Entries will be evaluated at the school level, and shortlisted stories will be forwarded to CBSE for the next round.
